Directions on how to get to Buderim Forest Park from Brisbane

This is the quickest way to get there without having to go through Buderim and get stuck in the traffic

Take the Sunshine Coast Turn Off From the Highway

Get onto the Buderim Exit Heading Left...

You'll see a small rundown Petrol Station, Just past there is a T Section that Turns off towards Buderim

Go up the Hill towards Buderim on Crosby Road..

Once you are at the top, You'll see the road go to the right, with a intersection going to the left labled William Street,

Turn off to your left, you'll see a street come up on your right called Besley Street, Turn off there.. its a small street, once at the other end, take a quick right then left into Tulip Lane.. its nearly a cross section.. but theres a house in the way.. LOL

Drive down to the end and turn Left, you will then be on Lindsay road, Follow the Road down the Hill, you should be driving through Dry looking Foresty and Bushland...

Once your at the bottom, you'll see a white sign to your right that says "HARRYS" Which is the entrance to Harrys Restaurant an Buderim Forest Park, its on a corner as the road goes around a bend .. turn into Harrys and you'll be at Buderim Forest Park, Grab a parking Spot and We'll See you at the M&G :)

Sorry, guys it looks like I may not be able to make it.

The Queensland Taekwondo Championships are on this weekend and I've been asked to compile some shots for upcoming marketing that's required. The main day is Sunday with some stuff Saturday.

If I can finish early enough on Saturday I'll be there.....

I'll try my best as I'd like to get up there and meet you all.

Regards

Tony

Might be able to make it. Got to pick up some relatives from the airport but I might be able to scoot away solo for a few hours of the afternoon.

Also depends on the weather, I probably won't come up if it is raining.

Importantly, if it is overcast, will all the Nikon owners whine about high ISO noise because they now have to shoot at ISO 400 due to the low light? :D

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

Despite having clear blue skys and fluffy white clouds over top... I think we'll have to postpone the M&G.. the forecast keeps saying Rain Squalls and there is a predicted 35-40 knot winds here.. we dont wanna stuff up anyones day by trying to hold a M&G in the rain..

If the weather does hold up and a few of the local members still want to get together, it could possibly be arranged if folks are still keen

Sorry to do this folks.. but the weather is unpredictable..

I will be there regardless of the weather. If it is raining we (assuming some still want to go) can sit at the rotunda and have a chat.

Still sick, and sick of being sick :( I think I'll buy some shares in a tissue factory ...... and even worse, one of my lovely co-workers made me a cake today, so they rang me up to wish me happy birthday, and 'pseudo cut the cake'!!!!! LOL - nice thought huh?

Tim - not sure how it is up there at the mo, but down here, heavy heavy rain squalls with driving winds, then clears to sun, then back again..... like being on a yoyo really .... Will check in again later

Weather is still very blowy.. and at the moment, its just really windy and bright blue skys... been like this for the last couple of days.. then it rains at night... bloody confusing if you ask me.. as I said.. ill postpone the M&G ... but if people still want to show up, its upto them.. I live 5mins from the Meeting spot.. so if folks still decide to go, i can meet them there

I will make a prediction that it will be more of the same for a few days yet. Almost certainly getting worse as Wati moves further south.

I will stick my neck out and forecast that Wati or its remnants (may degenerate somewhat as it moves south) will cross the coast between Double Island Point and Byron Bay. If I were a serious punter I would say sometime Monday or Tuesday NB. I am not a serious punter

I will be playing by ear for tomorrow but not really keen to get my new 70-200VR :D :D :D wet

But my wife has come down with the flu very hard and I think it would be risky for my future camera purchases if I were to run away today :D So I will have to pass and look after her.

Hi guys

The Sunshine Coast M&G turned out a great afternoon. Good turnout with
Bob G, Judy, Tim, Mark, Steve, Michael and Oneputt to name the people whos names I remember. Sorry to the other guys, I can remember your faces but names are not my strong point.

Iam sure there will be some great shots posted over the next couple of days.

A public apology to all who attended, I the idiot parked at the top car park whilst everyone waited for me at the bottom car park. Tim i have just had another look at your map and I now know where I went wrong. Sorry everyone.

I will post a few photos later in the week. Unfortunately work now calls. GTG.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks for arranging it all Tim.

Looks to me like there is quite a bit of collective talent and knowledge amongst you all.

I hope you have another event soon or if any of you need a shooting buddy fron time to time please let me know.

Most times I can get away and with reasonably short notice
