Annual New Years Eve SEQNNSW Cooloola Coast Trek

Postby Slider on Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:36 pm

Some of you might remember that we got together last year on NYE and did a 4X4 run mixed with some photography along the way. It gave a lot of people the opportunity to see and photograph places they normally would not be able to get to.

Personally, I had a ball and would like to propose that we do it all again.

Last year NYE fell on a Saturday which seemed to suit the majority. So I propose that we have it on Saturday 30/12/06. A Clayton's NYE if you like.

A few people commented that we were a bit rushed last year and may have tried to squeeze too much in so my proposed itinerary:

A few less places but more time at each

Kick off around Noosa / Tewantin 09:00

1. Lake Macdonald Botanical Gardens - flowers, macros, birds, (Tawny Frogmouth last year) candid photos of photographers taking photgraphs

2.Secret spot in Cooloola forest for brunch. Old trees over the picturesque creek and swimming hole. Stitched panos, etc.

3. Kings Bore track to Teewah Beach and up to Double Island Point for lunch .. Ocean and beach views, lighthouse for those feeling up to it.

4. Teewah Coloured Sands

5. Over the barge and back.

So who's interested that has a 4x4 and can take passengers.

Who's interested and would like to accompany one of our generous 4x4 owners.

I am happy to take along 3 extras in my vehicle. With gear that about covers it.

I will also be posting this on "the other" forum as some of the attendees from last year may not see this thread here.

And for those with short memories :D

Hi Mark,

I am a newbie here, but this is just the sort of thing I was looking for, getting out and about with some other photogs....

Sounds like it may be getting bigger than Ben Hur, but if there is an extra seat I would like to get involved.

Cheers,
Doug

I will most probably be in the area when around this time. I will try and organize to come down for it, would be great to meet a few more faces to names. :P

Will see what happens closer to the day.
