Is anyone going to Indy this year? I usually volunteer to get myself and my Father in law in for free. Will be there with camera this year if anyone wants to meet and compare notes/shots.

Hi Dean,

Am hoping to get there this year. I try to go every couple of years so should be just about due.

I'd be interested in comparing notes if I do manage to get there.

Regards

Tony

Looks like I'm going to be in stand 57 at the first chicane (inside of track). I think this will be a good spot, normally a fair bit of action around here.

Haven't bought tickets as yet, but I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Hi Hardware

What's the go with volunteering?

I must admit I wouldn't be all that keen to to pay the big dollars to attend Indy this year (I went in 2002) but volunteering could be fun for next year, particularly if it leaves you with time to shoot.

I'd love to go again (went last year, was great) but unfortunately I'm going to be way too busy this year at the time. :( Oh well, there's always next year! :)

Go to the website around March - just google Gold Coast Indy and fill in the forms and post them off. Do it early to get a half day shift. I procrastinated this year and ended up on a full day - but in a grandstand. You attend a training session - a couple of hours - and they do a good job of looking after you with food, uniform, tickets etc.
