Voting in challenges...

Postby xerubus on Wed Nov 24, 2004 12:15 pm

Just a discussion point I wanted to throw out there...

Do you think people should be able to vote for their own submission?

Note: This is not a thread for how you think things could be made better/worse... :)

Personally I think no... makes things a little more interesting and makes you dust of your critique skills....

Interested to hear what others think....

Cheers

Xerebus, I think I remember MHD saying vote for your own as it wont make much difference and if everyone does we are all even. With 30+ entries it shouldnt alter the results if we all do it. Plus I think this is probably easier for MHD than trying to bar individuals from voting on their own. (Not that this concerns me with the level of talent on this board, I have no chance :D )

yeah... I just assume everyone will give thier photo top marks so everyone is still on the same ground..

I might one day modify the software to stop "self voting"

There are a lot of things I need to do and a lot of the will get done in the break between the end of this comp and the beginning of the next...

We need another Poll......

Can MHD run these competitions better?

You do a great job MHD, I am sure everyone here appreciates the work you put in, I know that I do.

In fact, I think the comps are already an important part of our group.

thanks!

The comp will be better next year! I have already started customising the software...

I really get a kick out of running it! I have always messed around with one form of web page or another... It is great to do it for more than just my own satisfaction... BTW I am very happy to hear suggestions... Just dont expect them until next year!
