Nature challange

Postby Matt. K on Thu Nov 25, 2004 1:54 pm

Hmmm, let’s see now…the black and white nature challenge. What’ll I shoot? What’s gonna get me the big prize? Snails? Tree trunks? Dandelions? Zebra at the zoo? White surf crashing over the rocks? Damn. This is difficult. Gotta picture the final image in my mind. Got it! Two pelicans, one just taking off, the other coming in for a landing….they crash head on. Their necks twisted, head bent, their eyes white with terror…feathers flying…their feet outstretched in the crash position. Big, fill the frame…contorted and convoluted. It’s tragic. And in the background, just out of focus, a small fishing boat…2 fishermen looking amazed…pointing…their rods in their hands.

So what do I need? A boat…what kinda boat? Fiberglass? Timber? Make it timber. Now…what colour? White” Blue. Do I know 2 fishermen? Damn this tricky. I wonder if the other forum members are having this problem?

Where do I get the pelicans from? Hmm! Snails are looking good.
Regards

Well for starters you would need two pretty dumb or blind Pelicans. . .

Nooo! Really? Well how about that? So what ya gonna do now? Flying snails? Sorry, but flying snails is my idea!
(Do pelicans fly that far south? Wouldn't they freeze to death?)

Matt,

you are headed in the right direction, but it needs a little more drama. Maybe an alligator in the background eyeing the pelican scene. Then instead of fishermen, have a young man and girl, and the guy is proposing to the girl. Then if you could have an eagle swooping down to steal up an enormous fish...and a litter of baby puppy dogs would be a nice touch...no scrap the puppy dogs, that's too much, but some kind of hurricane in the distance would add balance.
