I will probably go on Friday. It's cheaper
I made a knife at one of their workshops a few years ago - a wonderful experience - but this year I will take my camera (& damsel) & just observe.

Hmm...not sure about this one mainly because of the long drive...

I've since had a closer look at the programme

On friday, you miss out on the Jousting and "Colonial" mock battle, so W/E it is pending other commitments. The Damsel has probably organised something I've forgotten about.

Awesome, I'm down for this not sure what day i can go as yet but ill be sure to go for at least one day. Now all i have to do is weasel my way out of a camping trip that i was supposed to go on that weekend :-p

Does anyone know if you can purchase tickets at the gate? Oh, and i have a free spot in the car if someone wants to go and can't get there cos of transport or w/e.

Yes, tickets are available at the gate.

They are cheaper though if you pre-purchase. BUT when I looked at their booking system, it did not appear to be on a secure server, so I declined that route.
