Featherdale wildlife outing this Sat 13/9

Doing anytthing this coming Saturday 13 September besides voting for you local council?

Why not join us for a forum meet at Featherdale Wildlife Park which is near Blacktown. Admission is $20

We'll meet there at 9:30 am just outside the shop. That gives us a few hours to wander the grounds, break to have lunch (bring your own food or buy it there, there are BBQ facilities and a shop) then resume after lunch or go home depending on how we feel.

Unlike the zoo you can get quite close to many of the animals which gives much better shots. HERE is a gallery with some images I've taken there in the past. This is a great location, cheaper admission than the zoo and you can get up close and personal with the critters. It will be a great day and the weather forecast is promising.

If you're interested add a post below. If you're new come along and meet your fellow members, talk gear and take photos. If you're a regular you know this will be great so put your name down.

Fabulous Featherdale....count me in. A day out with the camera is as good as a day out fishing. Also, this is a good chance for those of you who are fairly new to the forum to get togethor for a shoot and meet each other in the flesh. Make the effort.

The people of NSW...???

:D

But given NSW has lost the last 3 State of Origins, one would think that they would be used to being losers...

:D :P :D

Now if only Qld would use bona fide Qlders in their team (eg Greg Inglis the Macksville wonder, New Zealander Tony Carroll) ...

looks like you need numbers :)

I have not been there before but have heard good reviews - you can count me in (95% reliability) if thats OK - I may even get the better half to come along as well...

I would have love to come but I'll be spending all of Saturday in a plane. :( In fact, technically, I don't really get a Saturday as I board the plane on Friday night and get off on Sunday morning. At some point it will be Saturday, I guess.

Next time.
