Floriade

Gday everyone,

I couldn't see a thread yet so i thought i would create one. as people may or may not know Floriade starts in Canberra this Saturday (13th September) and continues on through to the 12th October

I was wondering if anyone is planning on making the trip down for it and if so, if anyone would be interested in setting up a meet?

I doubt I'll make it, but based on previous years, avoid the first and last couple of weeks. Early on, the flowers haven't come out yet. Late, they are mostly finished.

This is certainly true in my experience also.

However, since I live within cycling distance of Floriade, I'll be heading down quite a few times over the next month . I'm happy to meet up with people if we're going to be there at the same time.

Those of us in Canberra should organise a time to meet up at Floriade, but perhaps I'll start another thread in the Canberra forum to discuss it.

I am within wandering distance to it as well, so I am intending to head over a few times. Is anyone interested in a casual stroll on Saturday to case the joint?

Hi all,

this Saturday I won't come for a stroll.
Sunday I might, however I am taking the lady out for the 24th
wedding anniversary and she would not appreciate my attention spent with with the Canberran fotografers.
Now, over the weeks following, I will be going and going again to see Floriade.
Once I know a little more, I will post the dates.
This year I am planning NOT to shoot the flowers but perhaps do some candids of people etc ...

unfortunately Ozone and myself have class from 9 - 7 on Wednesday, so i know that I'm definitely out (cant talk for Tristan )

I'm hoping to get out there on Saturday though
