I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

G'day

I've never been to a Photographic market before so I have no idea what to expect if I went.

So if anyone can answer my basic questions

- what might I be able to buy there?
- are prices good? (my view of markets is that sometimes ppl pay well above the odds for crap)
- is it woth getting up real early and being there before 11:00am?

Cheers

'Bob,

Usually its like a swap meet, sellers are normally private ppls, wanting to sell surplus / old gear, prices are variable, depending, KNOW your prices before going, prepare to haggle.

My experience in Perth is that if you are still into film, Great! if not, not much if anything yet of interest to the DSLR user. Mmmm, might find a good tripod, bag etc. Suggest if you can go along, leave missus home and take cash instead, just in case!

Hi Perthies

I was in Perth this morning and now back in Wollongong. Yesterday aftenoon I visited Cottesloe Beach where there is currently a great sculpture on the beach exhibition. Great photo opps here if you have time. I may post a few of mine which were very rushed as I was being taken on a lightening trip after my work. I am in Samoa tomorrow but will try and post a few to get you interested. The evening light was also great for the photos.

Perth is a great place you should be proud.

Peter Mc PS I realise this post was about something different but most of the respondents seem to be from Perth so I had a captive audience.
