bebitos y burritos - emergency micromeet

Postby gstark on Fri Feb 29, 2008 12:31 pm

I feel like Mexican for dinner tonight - Beach Burrito Bar @ North Bondi, around 6:30.

Weather forecast is for a possible storm, which might make for some good images out towards New Zealand.

Failing that, the frozen margies are good, and food's not too bad either.

Hi Gary - what's this place like? Have been struggling to find good mexican in Sydney for years. Would you be keen to do another night there in the next couple of weeks?

Ashley,

It's acceptable, although they do their guacamole in a blender. :chook:

For me it's either this place, Aztecas in Randwick, or Tex-Mex in Mona Vale.

None hold a candle to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach, or even Chevy's or On The Border, but they're a bit of a commute. :)

When do you have in mind?

We regularly drive down to Wollongong for "Amigos" our favourite Mexican restaurant, none we have tried in Sydney have been up to scratch (our favourite Vietnamese is also in Wollongong "Mylan"), it's a bit of a drive but its worth it to get what you want.

Ashley,

Tomorrow won't work for me - Latin Jam @ Bar Me if you're interested - but the following Monday (14th) will and does work for me.

Craig, are you in as well?

Who else?

Hi Gary - Monday 14th sounds good - consider me confirmed; say at around 7.00pm?

Can you confirm directions/address details?

Done!

7:00pm Monday April 14.

It's at the northern end of Campbell Parade, almost directly opposite the exit from Queen Elizabeth Drive at North Bondi. QE Drive is the boulevard that runs right along the beach front.

Who else will be joining us?

Damn i wish i was closer to all the fun! I'm hoping we have enough members in Canberra to get some of this sort of stuff going. If it wasn't footy season i wouldn't mind the drive up to meet people once in a while.

Hop everyone has fun

Quick note to Phoenix - Travis - sorry you can't get up from Canberra [but understandable given the distance] - thanks very much for CDs of workshop pics, which arrived on Fri.

Hope everyone has fun...

I went to Montezumas (Crows Nest) on recommendation of a friend but didn't like my first intro to Mexican food. I didn't realise that they were a chain until afterwards..

I have red carpet access for a possible Iron Man interview tomorrow but I'll try and make it afterwards as I don't have tickets for the film itself.
