EOI - Camera on a stick minimeet

In another thread, Photoaffinity made a post including some images with his camera mounted upon a stick. As I mentioned in that thread, that gave me an idea: that we hold a camera on a stick minimeet.

The concept is that we gather somewhere, rigidly mount our cameras (probably with a wide angle lens mounted) on our monopods, and using a remote release, we go around shooting images.

Obviously, it would be desirable that you have a remote release for your body and a wide angle lens of some sort. Failing the remote release, you could probably get away with using the camera's self timer.

Is there any interest in this concept? If so, when and where?

And I am perfectly happy for places other than Sydney to join in as well.

sounds like a great idea....i think D300 + Tokina 10-17mm + Cleon would make a great piece of kit for this work.
