POTW for 9th August, 2011...

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

POTW for 9th August, 2011...

Postby fozzie on Wed Aug 10, 2011 7:56 pm

I have selected this image due to the composition; unfurling of the rose bud petals together with texture and lighting, providing rich colours and sharpness throughout. Congratulations to zafra52.

No, it won't help much: a lottery is based upon luck. And bad math.

Your PotW award is based upon your skill and technique.

Well done.

After viewing zillions of flower photos, this one is a standout for the above mentioned reasons. Congrats Zaffs.
