PotW - November 27, 2012

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

PotW - November 27, 2012

I need to do more of this: getting out at lunchtime ("what's that?" I hear you ask) and just doing a little bit of shooting.

Which is exactly what Chris has been doing, with great effect. Consider my selection for this week's PotW, for instance. Just a simple mono image of a newspaper vendor in her stand.

While the image is a very simple one, it offers so much to us. How could you not like this?

Well done, Chris.

Thanks Gary and all. I have been having so much fun getting out there. I can say the fuji has recalibrated the way I have been shooting and that in and of itself is worth the price of admission...and more.
