(Belated) POTW 17 Dec 2013

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

(Belated) POTW 17 Dec 2013

Apologies, I have not been paying much attention recently (busy dodging flak). Thanks Gerry for the reminder. However, there is some good in the late post.....Bigsarg7 take the podium this week...with a portrait of her sister posted after the cut off..... (Come at me if you have a problem with this)

I love the colours, and the clarity. Great stuff in avoiding reflections in the lenses of those glasses.

Congrats Bigsarg. Tremendous portrait. The pose is not "fake", unlike so many portraits taken today. Well done on POTW.

Wow, that was a surprise to get POW. Must say thats a pretty good early christmas present thanks guys!!

My sister is actually an itinerate Pastor (Minister) with australian christian churches and asked me to update her web page images again and so she could use it for sending off to market herself so to speak. So she is pretty impressed she got picture of the week. :)

Considering the POTW was meant to be the 17/12 and this was posted on the 18/12 I would say it would technically posted after the cut off (if you were being anal) not that I care though.

If I recall....there were some previous discussions on this and it was suggested that POTW didn't have to be taken in that week but It was simply YOUR picture of the week. The pic you want to highlight for any reason you like. So that widens your choice a bit. Great pick anyway and a deserved award.

My point being that if I had done the POTW on the 17/12 I would not have seen the current POTW which was posted on the 18/12...this is getting rather tiresome
