POTW 29th July 2014 - Selection by Zafra52 aka Manuel

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Thanks to Zafraa for this weeks selection of the infamous DSLRuser POTW, thats right, the only selection that matters :) Thanks for taking the time to review and select mate.

I believe it's my turn to pick the picture of the week so I would
be very grateful if you could assist publishing my choice. If I may, I want
to select two pictures:

Matt's 3rd posting in Since I haven't posted any pics for awhile. He was
able to capture a magic moment full of intensity. I love the composition,
colours and scene in this picture makes me visit again and again intrigued
by clues of what they may be talking about.

The second choice is your panoramic posting today called Big Bad Balls
Head. I love the colours, sharpness and the majesty of the landscape you so
well captured.

I think this sums up my thoughts of Matt's image - which btw I reckon is brilliant, there are so many really intriguing elements within the frame and its all drawn together with the two people and the manner in which they are engaged. I love all the questions it raises... the parcels on the table, the lack of coffee in a what is clearly a cafe or coffee shop, the placement of the picture on the way.. it all smells of a scene from a spy movie :) great stuff

Both are beautiful pictures in their own right and a credit to the photographers. Congratulations to the winners.
