Hi,

we had our little bbq today.
We welcomed Daniel_r as a new member.
It is good to see more Canberrans joining.
It was a pleasant afternoon and a beautiful sunset at lake Burley Griffin.
I'll post a few fotos sometime later.
The mozzies targeted me and ru32day after dawn, that's when we started to pack up.

It was Mr and MRS ru32day, Mr and Mrs MHD and baby MHD, Daniel_r and christiand today.
Some of us are planning to go to the Rallye of Canberra on Sunday 24 April.
The Rallye is an international event and viewing points are plenty.
Anyone interested please look at: http://www.roc.com.au/

Cheers

Glad you guys had a great day, including the BBQ. Look forward to seeing shots MHD is loading up at this very moment.

The Subaru Rally of Canberra on 23-24 April 2005 would be interesting. If I lived in or nearby Canbeera I would be a definite starter.

Glad everyone had a good time at your BBQ and that rally looks good.
I went to local track here yesterday but it was very hot and windy and dust would have been blowing wrong way so i didnt take any pics as i cant get to hot N sweaty as i have alergie patches on my back.
Anyhow long weeknd in couple weeks we have a SA rally event here in Mt Gambier so i will be going to do pics and getting a media type pass to get where others cant.
Cheers

so what did you guys get up to today, i wanted to make it but i had the dragon boat nationals, too little sleep too long a day. guess i will have to wait until the next meet to play with some of the funky gear we have in the nations capital.

also i was admiring one of the photographers walking around the nationals yesterday and today. D2H and i assume the 200-400, IT WAS HUGE. however i didnt get a chance to have a chat with him.

That Swan shot! What awesome teeth, you sure it wasn't a wolf in swans clothing!!!!

yeahh,

I didn't know that they had "teeth" until I saw the image.
Don't get bitten, you'll bleed !!!
Swans are also apparently very strong.
The european swan which is is larger is known to be capable of breaking a man's arm using their wing. (kungfu swan and this is not a joke)

christiand - impressive swan teeth there. Good thing that they're fairly friendly I suppose.

My shots from the meet - as well as the great company, the highlight for me was the beautiful plays of colour as the sun moved across the lake.

Thanks heaps to Daniel_r for sharing how to achieve that wonderful film-quality blue.
