580EXII repair $ ?

Postby Chad on Sun Dec 23, 2007 12:40 am

Anyone else dropped a couple of kilos of kit recently?
If so do you have a ballpark of what Canon may charge to fix it? I sent it off yesterday, but, given the season, don't expect a reply anytime real soon.

If you had to break it then that's the piece to break. It's made to break there so the repair cost should be reasonable. Good luck!

My own stupid fault. At night, in my office at home, lit only by my monitor. I (thought I) placed it and the attached 40D, grip, & 24-105, securely on a sideboard where I always do put the gear. But I missed it by *that* much.

I'm still writing out my 1000 times....."I am an ......"
