I bought this adapter here to mount my old nikkor 15mm ais lense on my canon 5D body.
Works great. It also has an electronics adapter so although the lense is manual focus, the focus indicator lights up in the viewfinder when it is in focus!

Whatever you get - the thinner the better.

what lense are you putting on what body?

So can you use the camera in AV mode with these adapters, or only manual?

The one I bought does pretty much everything normally except you orbviously set the aperture with the lenses aperture ring and your focus manually. (ie it meters in manual mode etc)

This was shot with my old 15mm AIS nikkor on my 5D body - in Av mode:

skin is a little orange - but it was a quick edit.
