Dear Nikon... I want a D800e

So, Nikon.
I've bought from you
F80
D70
18-70 kit lens
70-300 soft lens (being polite)
D200
12-24 f4 DX lens
18-200 VR lens
105 macro lens (non VR)
Another D200
50 f1.4
17-35 f2.8
D700
SB900
24-70 f2.8
9 real batteries

You have a lot of my money. Now I want to give you more. I want to buy a D800e for my wife, at the price places like ECS are advertising it.

Seems supply is low and back-orders are high.
Please tell me, how long do we have to wait before stock will be available?

Does anyone know?

When I ordered mine the D800E waiting list was much shorter than the D800.
Had mine in less then 2 weeks from Camera Pro in Brisbane. Give them a call or email them.

I assume you have given Nikon Aus a call? have you looked at vanbar? meyers? Digital camera warehouse? DD?

while your waiting, amuse yourself with some quality discussions about the D800, seriously this will have you in stitches..

When I phoned them they said they had a couple.

They really should update their website, if they did I reckon they wouldn't have stock.

Coming soon

They do however say
STOCK AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep our website as accurate as possible and stock available for immediate delivery.
However sometimes there is an overwhelming demand for certain products, particularly new models, and delivery can take longer than any of us would prefer. It is with this thought in mind that we strongly recommend you contact us and confirm stock availability and price before coming into the store.

It arrived today... :D

Funny that you can (and I did) buy a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64Gb SD card for a fraction over $200, yet the same size CF cards cost about double... :?
eBay.
