My X site

Postby Geoff M on Tue Jul 09, 2013 9:57 am

I have just started an new website dedicated to images taken with the Fuji X system. I'm not good at all that blog stuff so we shall see how it goes!

The site name is a bit corny

Hi Geoff, nice site. Arranging it by lenses allows someone to get a look at the capabilities of each lens, also like the pics of the lens, I had never seen an XF35/1.4 before, I thought you had squeezed the lens hood in a vice!

You cat sequence in the blog has got some nice shots, not normally a fan but the 3rd and last are great.

Love the Gordy Strap!

and I agree with Glen that the sorting by lens is a great way to present images.....there are some great images there.

Very, very nice and simplistic site Geoff and as others have said the lens types is a great idea.

Just one small negative comment tho, the front page pic could be a lot better

I like your website. Is it free hosting?
By the way, the photo of the cat with
its red tongue is phenomenal.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Zafra, yes free hosting. Lots of templates to choose from and very easy to put together.

Great work Geoff, nice and clean.

I have recently purchased an XE-1/18-55 combo on sale. Have'nt had scarcest time to try it out yet. I have divested myself of all my Olympus M43 gear as I just couldn't get used to the small buttons. Hopefully the Fuji will suit as an all round walkabout rig. I think I may need a few lessons...

I love using mine. The AF, as I am sure you have read elsewhere, is not fab in some situations, but it is getting better with firmware updates. The next firmware release, supposedly improving AF capabilities is due for release from Fuji on 23/07. If you have been using the OMD EM5 then I think you may see a drastic difference in AF function and you may find it disappointing.

Geoff, I managed this morning to take said XE-1 out of box today for the first time, and what do you know? There's a huge great smudge/stain on the sensor making it virtually unusable, so after a quick call to Fuji in Brookvale, it was up to the post office to send the thing back to be replaced!! Hopefully will have a new unit back by next week as I have the week off and would like to take some photos.

Murphy's law in full swing. :biglaugh:
