Andoru,
Good find and very interesting reading about the vibration vs heads/ tripods.

I explained these to our members on many threads in the past, not deeply in technical as the 13 pages report, but showing to all why should we spend monies on the right tools and gears.

I know someone will jump up and say: too much money for legs and heads etc... but my advise was: save up, buy one and last if you're planning in doing seriously of this hobby.

Also, it was my decision of getting the BH55Pro after using the Markins 20 for awhile, same as having the AUB as the backup., the AUB didn't see much work now but the BH55Pro and the Markins 20 do me lot jobs in the past few months.

As my title on this board, I'm with Gitzo CF and Gitzo CF and Gitzo CF.
I rather have "rice with soy sauce for a year" to get the Gitzo CF than having some other brands in my inventory.

I have been reading Charlie’s report for the past couple of weeks and after seeing both the RRS and Markins at Birdies decided on the Markins.

I couldn't agree more Birddog!

I have a Gitzo at the moment but wouldn't mind a 1327 with the Markin TB-30!

Chris, what made you decide to go that direction, or are your thoughts in another thread? Im curious as its a decision I will be making over the next few months.

Basically there is only 2 choices - Markins or RRS. Although I liked the RRS it was dearer than the M20 and delivery can be a problem - I know of one member who waited around 3 months for delivery on the RRS.

Patience has never been a virtue with me - hence the Markins M20 which is superb BTW :D

The load-to-weight ratio for the M20 is simply superb! Not to mention that it's "self-cleaning".
