D70 images for viewRAW

Postby viewraw on Mon Nov 08, 2004 9:50 pm

Hi, I am author of viewRAW.

viewRAW is 100% free program for FAST viewing NEF files.

you can download it at:

http://viewraw.photosapien.com/

I have problems with images for D70 White Balance change in viewRAW.

I would ask users if they can send me some NEF files with different WB (sunny, cloudy, shade, flash,...) settings. I donn't need Auto White balance files.

My email is:

viewRAW@yahoo.com

(10MB per mail / total 50MB)

If you have any questions about viewRAW, ask.

If you want something in viewRAW that missing ask, And if it is not difficult I will include it in new version.

Any comment about viewRAW, tell me.

Regards, Ales

I installed ViewRaw yesterday and it installed OK

Given my vast inexperience, I can't comment much or compare with anything much, but ViewRaw did open NEF files really quickly and the save as jpg format works well.

I'm sorry Ales, but I'm too inexperienced yet to shoot properly with different whitebalances yet.

Someone here is sure to help you though

Thanks for your program. You should be very proud of it Ales

Cheers

Hi, Thanks for comment.

I don't mind what is on picture. You can shoot at home white wall, if you want. Only thing that matter is that each shot is taken with different WB setting. (Change sun icon to cloud icon, etc.)

Ales, if you want to break away from the upload and storage size restrictions of yahoo mail, I got Gmail invites (1Gb of storage, few restrictions). Let me know and I'll send one your way. I might help you out in the course of development of your new RAW format software.

Hi Ales

Outlook says that I have sent seven 5 meg average size raw files.

I'm suspicious because the first three took 24 minutes to send and the last four, one minute.

Please verify that you have received seven separate emails, each containing a numbered raw pic.

Thanks

Graham
