Sydney Sunday Sunrise

Postby biggerry on Sat Feb 12, 2011 6:47 pm

Super short notice, nonetheless, I am planning to head out for sunrise tomorrow morning, I have three potential locations that I am interested in, Whale beach, Maroubra or south curl curl - given it could well be a dull grey sunrise a closer to home location might be the plan with some foreground water action as the main interest.

If your keen post here or PM me.

Tides look to be 1.3m and receding. High chance of rain.

Perhaps Maroubra as closer to home?

Cameron, sunrise is at 0626. So turn up at 0545 as we know the location reasonably well. Is that the go Gerry?

yeah Maroubra is the go I reckon too, the tide is actually 1.5m - hopefully there is some nice swell action.

Cheers to the peeps who turned up on such late notice, it was always gonna be a bit dull, but thats the way to test ya skillz right, its easy to punch out nice piccies of beatiful sunrises but harder to make something of a grey dull day...

I think I am gonna need a fasttrack number to teh westpac rescue helio, either that or I will have to carry a lifesaver donut :cough: , for once it was Suren on the conservative side must be the new toy :)

I think life jackets would serve you better. They work much more quickly than the chopper.

lol, that is Suren being conservative, the water is only up to his ankles, normally he is at least wet up to his waist by this time of the morning!

I do have a small amount of grey matter between my ears which prevented me from going out on that ledge! :rotfl2:

It not just the waves. The spray was very very concerning. It seemed to be everywhere... [rotting away electronics] PS: I have ordered the optech rain sleeve. :chook:
