EOI: Newtown and Surrounds Graf/Street Session 27th March

Postby biggerry on Sun Feb 27, 2011 9:20 pm

Title says it all  well almost..

Its been quite some since I have gotton out in the back streets of Newtown and Enmore for a stroll and taken some images of the ever changing landscape that is Newtown, Enmore Erko, St Peters etc...

Anyone keen for a morning session in the area followed by coffee/tea/juice/chai (or whatever ya fancy)? It could even be a case for the the peeps with family to rock up for the coffee session, kids welcome...(not discouraging anyone without kids btw  )

Timeframe, I was thinking in the next couple of weeks, I am pretty flexible since..well its a 5 minute walk for me :rotfl2:

Also We could squeeze in a sunrise as well. It's the best time now and you could rock up at 0615 and still catch the best light.

Just to add a little more confusion:

The Zombie walk is on the 26th from 3:30pm. http://www.sydneyzombiewalk.com/

Worth meeting up before/after and including the walk?

keep me posted Colin

It seems as though the cool wet weather has started already. I am able to get out on Saturday but only up near Blackheath and Weni falls. If this weather continues then we could go out most week ends and find different stuff to go macro on.
I will be limited for a while as I am looking after the missus (just out of hospital, yes all is good) and the gromit. If you want to organise something I would obviously be keen, you know several spots up here now and the lane cove bushland park is a place I would like to visit.
Hope you all have a great day out on Sunday and better weather than forecast.

I am definitely in for Sunrise on Sunday Morning, the tides will be pretty crap but, you get that

The graf /street session is a goer for me, irrespective of what ya'll end up doing I gotta go back that way so I was gonna stop and check out a few spots, Also depending on time Syndye Uni is just down the road so I might even get to that exhibition there too.

thanks for the update Colin, good to hear your better half is doing well, I understand about time pressure especially given your battling both fronts :rotfl2:

Lane cove would be interesting, I have not been there for yonks, if your keen to come down one weekend we can definitely tee that up.

Another session up that way would be awesome, maybe in 3-4 weeks we can tee up a autumn colour session and fungi session for one day?!

WE need to make sure we choose carefully for sunday morning. The tide is only 1m and receding. Any suggestions for a lowish tide locations??

From memory, long reef may be good(ish). I don't know about whale beach etc.

whale beach is too far for me given that it may be just an oridinary morning, I am saving that one for a prime condition weekend! I reckon Deewhy would be ideal, its also nice and close to long reef which is also a known quantity.
