Quotes of the day
Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and stretching the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy. ~ Marguerite De Valois

While visiting the Vatican, we walked through one of the courtyards and I saw this tree in the morning light.

I took this picture when I visited Rome a few years ago, in 2016 to be precise. This world famous monument is very difficult to photograph for many reasons but mainly because is so large that you need special wide lenses, because the 1960 Fellini's film with Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg popularized it for tourist that crowd the small piazza shoulder to shoulder 24/7 and because the pickpockets that make a good living there. So here it is and I hope that this photo taken at 5am is to your liking.

Star attraction of course was our youngest grand-daughter, who is either auditioning to be the next Sherlock Holmes or is aiming to be the first female Inspector Gadget! At 17 months of age she has style, but then again with a grandpa as good looking as he is, she has advantages... :biglaugh:
