When visiting Salamanca with friends a few years ago we were having afternoon coffee when we heard the sounds of flute, drums and singing; we came out to check what such commotion was about. A parade of people dressed in regional costumes was passing through the street carrying flower offerings with an image of Our Lady of the Vale. The “Offering” is a celebration to thank and honour the Holy Virgin. On the 15th of August, the local people in their regional costumes take the Virgin through the streets and place it in front of the cathedral ...

On our way back to Australia we stopped in Perth and from the main park high up I saw some tourists in a Venetian gondola.

While I was in lock-down I amused myself playing with the camera. This is one of the pictures I took. It’s curious what the camera can see but the human eye and brain can’t.

We arrived in Fiordland National Park (New Zealand) and our large cruise ship ventured into the sounds of this magnificent land. We entered Breaksea Sound and came out of Dusky Sound. I hope you enjoy this photo, which I thought lost like all of them, but fortunately I managed to recover most of them if not all. Happy days!

While in Adelaide last year we visited its art gallery where Yayoy Kusama had an installation. She is famous for her polka-dot and mirror installations. She uses in them motifs like dots, eyes, nets and pumpkins – to create a hint at the infinite.

I encountered this weird looking flower in Uluru two years ago and later last year in Coober Pedy. The flower has a distinctive blood-red leaf-like flowers, each with a bulbous centre called "boss". It is one of Australia's best known wildflowers. It is native to the arid regions of central and north-western Australia.

A couple of months ago I visited Kakadu National Park where I took the picture of this majestic bird of prey. While looking at the wild fauna of this park I couldn’t help but thinking that in this part of the world, possibly any part of the entire world, all it matters is survival and existence is reduce to either eat or be eaten such is the cruel reality of life. I guess we alI fit somewhere in the food chain.

This picture shows two sculptures on top of the Banco de Bilbao’s building, which is located in the Calle Alcala in Madrid. The bronze sculptures were placed there in 1922 and originally were golden, but during the Spanish Civil war were painted black to avoid aerial recognition by the attacking Franco’s forces.

We were in Yorkshire about a month ago. (Yorkshire tea is the best). Caught the train to Whitby. Brilliant day out.

The night scene is of Chinese city at night. The street are wet and people walk with or without umbrellas. I used an oil filter for a painting effect. I hope you like it.
