Monday March 1, Gold Coast

Postby gstark on Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:07 pm

Hey y'all,

I'm going to be in the Gold Coast from Sunday Feb 28 through to Tuesday March 2 for a media scrum.

Monday afternoon, from about 3:30, for about three hours, has been unscheduled. Anyone want to get together at Sanctuary Cove for a drink or coffee?

I'll not have any wheels, so it'll need to be at the hotel, which is the Hyatt Regency.

Gary, you will need some assistance to handle those two!

Sorry - I'll be in Tasmania.

I'm here, I'm here!
Can't make any promises but would love to come along. Trouble is I finish around 5pm in Brisbane CBD and would be entering the worst of the peak hour traffic heading to the coast. I may only be there for a few minutes before you have to head off/go to your next scheduled event :(

It's a voluntary transportation.

My sister and her family live in Hobart, so we are visiting.
Hope to have an opportunity for photography in Freycinet & Cradle Mountain.

Enjoy your Gold Coast stay and don't let those two funsters get you into trouble!

And the cells at the local constabulary, too. Hyatt was all that was left.

Will do. At the moment, my afternoon is looking pretty clear.

That would be great, and you might just need your pay ... because ...

Matt, I'm not so sure. The price of a bottle of Evian water, in the room, is $11.50! I think that the Evian must contain gold flakes or something, to justify that sort of pricing. :)

Perrier at the bar though is just $4; quite a reasonable bar price.

Well that sucks! I hope you manage to wrangle it out of them!

Rel and I met with Garry for quick drink and gossip session before he donned his pirate gear and headed to a conference dinner..

and no please don't ask why he was going to dinner dressed as a pirate..
