Lowepro backpacks

Hello all
I am lusting for a new camera bag (or two)
Requesting feedback from forum members who own/use/love/hate the Lowpro Rover backpack style bag...

I have nothing to say about the Rovers. One thing that I noticed was that the images are hosted on a smugmug account. I noticed because I thought Lowepro did not allow hotlinking. I mention it because copyright always seems to be an issue.

Hey Gecko,
I have the Rover Plus II (?), the larger of the two. I find it's great depending on what u want to use it for.
If it's for daytrips out into the scrub they're great, especially if you get the waterbottle holder which clips onto the waist belt.
However, for use around town, it's probably too big. I found, especially when o/s in crowded environments, I just kept bumping into people/things.
The harness is great for load bearing and I reckon the bag is more suited to daywalks in a park or something.

I have the Rover AW plus.
I lugged it around Honk kong and japan for a month.
I managed to fit in the following:
D70
50 f1.8
tamron 12 - 24 f4
sigma 70 - 200 f2.8
nikon 17 - 55 f2.8
SB800
3 batteries 3 1gb memory cards and a vosonic 6230
That left the top compartment for al the other guff that we were carrying like passports food drinks ect....
It was comfortable to wear all day and that was walking/Public transport everywhere.
The only time I had an issue with it was in tokyo when i nearly killed a lady when i wacked her with the bag as i turned around (it was a little bigger than i thought) hahahaha
Great bag.
The drink holders al also good for things like CPL filters so you can grab them quickly....

Can't comment on the
model either, but i second the computrekker. The build is excellent. Great for taking all your gear, although the depth means that knocking over little old ladys in a crowd is a real risk!

I have the Minni trekkor AW and it will hold 24 stubbies and a can of bread & butter cucumbers.
