Exposed for the bird in the morning light - I like the results, Do you?

I think the photo is good, the concept is sound, but I think you should have gone a bit further with the post processing. A little play with shadows and highlights and contrast (but not too much contrast) will make this image pop out of the screen.

I realise it's a compromise between maintaining detail on the cockatoo and using too much contrast, but I think the result will be well worth it.

Did I say I like the concept?

The original was darker but the bird was about the same, lightened in PP.
