I took the photo during an Atlantic crossing. Using a Photoshop filter I turned the picture into an oil painting, of shorts. However, I remember taking the photo and thinking of the phrase, ‘Rearranging the Chairs on the Titanic’, which I used numerous times. It’s hard not to think of it when you are in the middle of the North Atlantic and cruising near where the RMS Titanic sank on 15 April 1912. This tragedy resulted in the deaths of up to 1,635 people, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The Titanic was the largest ocean liner in service at the time; and yet it would have been dwarfed by the ship we were on, the Queen Mary II.
