Picture of the week - May 3, 2005

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

NetMagi's Carriage house does it for me this week.

I love the subject, and the use of B&W suits the subject perfectly.

Well done, and congratulations.

Congratulations to NetMagi. It's a very engaging image that I'll bet we all keep in our memories. It's just that kind of picture.

Congrat's to Gary too for choosing this one excellent image from among so many great photos this week. It couldn't have been very easy.

I don't know how I missed this image first time around. I am a sucker for B&W and this is a great example. The composition really appeals and the autumn look really adds to the overall effect. I am really engaged by it.

Well Done. :D

I haven't seen this one before, it's a really nice image - the composition and choice of B&W conspire to make it very moody. Congratulations Netmagi!

very nice... like the way you shot from below the house in order to capture the beauty, size and classical features of the landscape
