Anything happening in Canberra any time soon?

Hey guys

Not sure how many of you will see this (quiet in here) but im just wondering if anyone is interested in catching up some for an evening shoot/chat. Im looking to buy a new tripod at the moment so i would like to talk to you about your experiences, etc.

Last week I went and checked out the free Sam Haskins: Portraits and Other Stories exhibition at National Portrait Gallery, Commonwealth Place. Its running 8 December 2006 - 22 April 2007 and is worth a look.

Im going down the coast for the next two weekends so i cant do weekends.

Let me know
Cheers
Steve

I'd be happy to meet up with you, but I can't say I know much about tripods or any thing else for that matter. Happy to learn though.

G'day All!

I have just got back for uni - so I am definitely up for a meet at some time. Would be good to catch up with everyone again - it has been a while! The Civic area is good for me due to my lack of transportation, but I am kind of flexible.

Regarding tripods - I can certainly bring along my 'frotto 055ProB and 488RC2 head if you want to have a play.

Cheers,
Tristan

Hi there,

I like the idea for a little meet.
I'm tied up on the 3rd or 4th March and also the 10th March.
So either this weekend or after the following two.

Cheers,
CD

I not here this weekend.
I play most weekends by ear. I often end up at home (4 hours drive away!) so I usually cannot predict even two weekends ahead. I do know I have a wedding to go to on the 24th in Canberra, but I may be tied up with family stuff.
Weekday/Evenings tend to be more suitable. I too am a student at the ANU, so Civic or thereabouts is good, but I have transport, so further afield is no problem.

yes! We should pull the old finger out and organise ourselves a little meet!

And, I was going to post a possible meet up I had in mind (just kept forgetting to do it!) :

Auto Italia is on again!

Auto Italia, March 25th Australia's largest display of Italian cars, motorcycles and scooters beside the picturesque Lake Burley Griffin, Grevillea Park, Russell.

I went to the Shannon's German Autofest a 2 yrs ago in the same location, and it was good day out with plenty to shoot and see.

A meet in March sounds great. Free weekends for me can be tricky, but hopefully time can be cleared form my schedule
