New Lens Pics

With everyone getting new bodies, I think that separate section for you to proudly display your first image from your new acquisition is in order.

This applies to brand new bodies, as well as bodies that are simply newly acquired by you.

Hi Craig, how you finding the weight/size proportion with your camera body?

On the 2nd pic, there is a little bit of red hue on the lower right side, is it lens flare? How well is flaring controlled in this lens?

After two weeks using nearly only the 18-200VR I am concious of the extra weight, the balance around your neck (camera resting on your chest) isn't as nice its lens heavy so points a bit towards the ground. I hadn't noticed the colour tint before you mentioned it but I can see it, there shouldn't of been flaring in that shot (overcast and sun at my back) but tomorrow when I go shooting I'll check it out. (I only took half a dozen shots on my quick walk to get lunch).

Well done Craig, great lens. The red was probably due to some reflection, were you wearing a bright pink/red shirt?

Blue shirt (I was wondering) but there was a red sign on the other side.
