I was fortunate to pick up a very good deal on a D700 (and D300) yesterday, collected the camera(s) at 11am and was out shooting (2nd tog) with it at a wedding at 3pm.

Here are a couple of the shots. It was a 'themed' wedding - The Corpse Bride! She looked a little to happy to pull off the corpse character, perhaps I should try some grunge PP?

I like the first bad choice of theme thou looks too live and not to pale :)
The second for me the picture frame stand out alot there to much space I try cropping the top and bottom of the frame and the sides just to the edges but when it come down to it, it's what the couple like. Looking at just these two I think you done well.

Looks like you put that camera straight to work...and the results are definitely not too shabby! Congrats on that steal of a purchase

I run the local photography club and one of our members has decided that a smaller entry level camera is more suited to her needs and so she gave me first refusal on her D300 & D700. I was not intending to go FX, although I have been tempted in the past, but as said, this was too good a deal to pass up. The cameras were originally purchased in May 08 and Dec 09 respectively so considering the age, they have had very little use.

My dilemma now is that my glass is not ideally suited to FX, I have the 17-55 DX, and the older version of the 70-200VR. Perhaps the same lady will offer me her 24-70 2.8 at a bargain price too. She also has a MB-D10 which will be of no use to her now I have the bodies! Problem is that my budget is currently exhausted, I would like a 16-35 f4 and perhaps a 24-120 f4

If the price is right I wouldn't mind a 2nd MB-D10
