I notice we are back to d70user.com from .net

I also found that when I logged on this morning the site didn't rememeber my last login and therefore told me no new posts.

What's up?

Cheers
Dean

Dean,

When you logged on, were you using http://d70users.net :?:

Because I had the same problem.

When I reverted back to: http://www.d70users.com/viewtopic.php?p=58971#58971

it corrected the situation for me.

As I said yesterday, I was reverting the site to the .com name. The .net was only a temporary measure to aid the transition to the external host.

My shortcut is http://www.d70users.net/index.php but then when I log on I get redirected to http://www.d70users.com/index.php

Gary,

Thanks for the clarification. I must have missed yesterdays post.

Wot's a shortcut?

:)

The latter one is more correct, but probably you should remove the index.php page reference as well. If we changed the page to pure html (for instance) you'd be screwed, whereas just the website reference would work regardless of the page type.

It was in a different thread. :) like, doh!

I think it was in a hijacked thread, even. No worries.

Something funny is going on here! I typed the d70users.com into my browser and it changes automatically to the .net version :!:

*wonders if Dad has sent the current URL forwarding into a loop*

The other funny thing is that when I get an email notification and click on the link from within the email I am getting an error on the web browser as error 404 - object not found :!:

I get that from a couple of other internal links as well. I've not yet reported this to the hosting facility as I'm still awaiting a resolution to the other issues that I've raised.

What we're seeing may simply be a product of their diagnostics, hence my decision to wait until the other issues are fully sorted.
