Maybe the next one should be "one coffee mug, you know with handle, etc"

What a great idea Gary. Thanks (Rushes home to find a carton containing 7 eggs before 9pm)

I wonder which entry is taken closest to the deadline, I recall Doug's a few challenges before was like within the final hour.

 Gallery 1 is now CLOSED!
Congratulations to the 40 odd who got thier entries in!

 What happens now:
I will do a basic check for validity on each image, and then reveal it, but not the owner of course...
Once I have finished this for all entries gallery 2 will open (a day or so)

 Two very important points:
*Do NOT discuss individual entries, it is quite ok to comment on the comp as a whole. I will be asking the Mods (hey, I am one.... how *handy*) to be ruthless
*If you find a problem (concerning it's validity) with an entry please PM or email me... Please think twice before contacting me over percieved PP issues, I often seek clarification from submitters on images I believe to have violated the PP rules... so unless you think I have missed something I dont want my inbox filled up with messages from 40 different people about the same image....

All entrants are to be congratulated on the creativity of the entries, it is almost a shame that almost every entry to this comp would score a place in other comps

Not a shame, it just means we are getting better! Thanks for all your work Scott, everyone appreciates your tireless commitment of your own time. We will all be patiently waiting to see the round 1 gallery opening sometime soon!
 Cheers,

Yes I am eggstremely eggcited to see what has come from round one. Its great to be able to eat the subjects after they serve their photographic purposes. My mates all think im batty as i have been asking for "egg photograph ideas" for the last few weeks.

I've been brainstorming egg ideas, shopping for eggs, talking to friends, relative, work mates about possible egg ideas. I've taken so many shots already its almost a shame I can only submit one shot so far. Katie has been driven mad by egg talk, I have eggs in fridge, eggs in the freezer, blown eggs, ... I dream about eggs.

It was my shaking clock that I decided to photograph just before the deadline, which I posted in about the last 1 or 2 minutes. No prize for that one (16th).Doug C.

I decided on what I wanted to do two hours before the deadline. I uploaded with three minutes to spare - with obvious consequences... Cheers

I was wondering if I was ever going to have any idea for this one. I didn't surround myself with eggs, discussed it very little with anyone else and basically just tried not to think about it too much, waiting for that flash of "inspiration". Not sure if this method worked or whether I shuld actively try to push the grey matter for the next gallery...

 Bugger!
I just got to work and compared my top 5 shots on my CRTs and now I think I've chosen the wrong one. The upside is I guess I have a semi-decent placehold for the final leg, I'm just annoyed at myself of picking what now think is a weaker image.

Just a place holder, until I think of something better or one of my many other ideas/setups produces images I think are worth of being entered. My poor D70 might wear out before the end of the comp. (I think I may popup flash may have died early this week trying to shoot another egg setup I had.)
