When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayIf its the same one that used to be at the St Peters Town Hall it's worth a look, especially if you are looking for some older gear (or parts for it)

Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th May
sounds like I should send Nikon Australia along to find the elusive AF parts for my 300 2.8 - its been so long since I took it into to get it repaired, that a new footy season will be underway before I get to use it again. thanks for the heads up Deb but I've already got two things on that day so might save me a few $$ by not going. cheers R2
Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayBugger, same day as the Drift nationals.

Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one

Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th May
Do you think they will have Credit Card Facilities? I have a suspicion that it may be Cash only.... In which it doesnt benefit me either way! Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one

Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayLast time I went, it was cash. It's more like a collector meet than a retail sale if you get the distinction.

Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MaySounds about right to me, still, an empty wallet is an empty wallet

Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayThanks for the heads up.

It turned out to be a productive morning. Picked up a remote trigger for the camera and nifty camera to car mounting kit. No more gaffer taping the camera to my hand and leaning out the door! Dan
Nikon D700 and a whole lot o' lenses
Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayWent this morning at about 9:30. It was a lot smaller than previous events I've been to at the St Peters town hall. Still interesting though. Didn't buy anything, but saw:

Speed Graphic $350 Stephenson Tropical with movements in great condition $950 An Olympus OM 50/1.8 sell for $20 Thousands of filters and various older lenses and camera paraphernalia. Any amount of box brownies and many film cameras of all vintages going pretty cheap. Not many TLR's but a few medium format SLR's seemed to be selling well at bargain prices considering their new prices. (dearest I saw was $1200 for a comprehensive kit), others I saw were around $400 Michael
Re: Photographic Market Adelaide 24th MayA friend of ours purchased a 1930's leica for $450 awesome build quality and everything still works.
