It's that time of the yearAnd so I'm thinking of perhaps a Christmas get together down at Doll's Point, just north of the southern end of the Grand Parade. There's a nicely wooded area there, with handy parking (provided it's not too crowded). My thoughts are Saturday Dec 3, from around 11am. Who's in? g. Re: It's that time of the yearGiven tetra-deca-annual celebrations for Mrs Reschsmooth that day, we/I won't be able to make it, unfortunately. Regards, Patrick

Re: It's that time of the yearKatie and I are already booked so we'll submit our apologies. We have an family oct-tarian celebration taking place.

Re: It's that time of the yearI have some lunch plans so have to give it a miss. Hope you guys enjoy!
Re: It's that time of the year
that weekend is out for me.. location looks good though, i put the call out for a sunrise session in the morning.. gerry's photography journey No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: It's that time of the year
0530 rise...so have to be there at 0445.... Your vernacular carcass will need two granny naps and you will probably talk like a granny all day.
Re: It's that time of the year
nothing out the ordinary... i usually struggle to string a coherent sentence together on a good day so why break a good thing gerry's photography journey No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: It's that time of the yearThe weekend of 3/12 suits me - I'm down that Thursday (1/12) for work and could probably take the Firday off and make a long weekend of it Peter Disclaimer: I know nothing about anything. *** smugmug galleries: http://www.stubbsy.smugmug.com ***
Re: It's that time of the year
Matt (and everyone else) I'm not welded onto the third, so yes maybe the 10th as an option? Will that work better for most? Peter? As it happens, I was in a cab yesterday morning, heading around Henley Marine Drive towards Drummoyne, and it's been so long since I've been down that part of town, I'd forgotten what it was like, and of course these days, it's been cleaned up quite a bit. If y'all want to go down there instead of my Ramsgate suggestion, that's on the table too. Please, let's discuss this so that we can get the best outcome. g. Re: It's that time of the yearThe 10th may suit us better although the evening for us will entail the celebration of my mother becoming a septuagenarian. Therefore, if you are planning late afternoon to evening, we will be unable to make it. Regards, Patrick

Re: It's that time of the yearUnsure of either date, but I have to say that Drummoyne would suit me much better than the AEotU originally suggested. Greg It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: It's that time of the yearNeither the 3rd nor the 10th are ideal for me as I have functions to attend in the evening. However, I may still be able to join for a couple of hours on either day - especially if it is at Drummoyne.
 Re: It's that time of the yearI can probably do the 10th - Drummoyne sounds good 7D, 60D, 70-200mm f/4LIS, 17-50mm f/2.8, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 580EX II
Re: It's that time of the yearDrummoyne's not too far from me... so I might even be able to get off my arse and pop along... depending on the date. Photography is not a crime, but perhaps my abuse of artistic license is?

Re: It's that time of the yearWell, from the discussion thus far, two things seem to be evident: 1: we'll do Henley Marine Drive, near Drummoyne 2: the 10th of December seems to be a better date for most of you ... g. Re: It's that time of the yearThe 10th is now better for me too. My Sydney visit for work has slipped to 8/12 Peter Disclaimer: I know nothing about anything. *** smugmug galleries: http://www.stubbsy.smugmug.com ***

Re: It's that time of the yearThe 10th could be a option for me...probably the only option, not particularly fussed on the location, as long as you can take photos gerry's photography journey No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
